Excimer Laser is an advanced technology device that reshapes the cornea with ultraviolet light and corrects refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism.

Mainly, there are 3 methods: LASIK, LASEK and PRK. The method to be applied is decided according to the eye numbers and the thickness of the corneal layer.

 

 

Who is suitable for excimer laser?

 

  • Those over the age of 18, wearing glasses or contact lenses
  • Those whose eye grades have stopped increasing
  • Those with myopia up to -14 diopters, astigmatism up to -6 diopters, and hyperopia up to +6 diopters can undergo corneal refractive surgery.
  • Those with sufficient corneal tissue thickness
  • Those who do not have systematic diseases such as diabetes, rheumatism, lupus
  •  Those who do not have any other disease (keratoconus, eye pressure, herpes virus infection, cataract, etc.) in their eyes.
