Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery to correct external and internal deformities of the nose. Depending on the need, the surgeon can perform open or closed rhinoplasty. If there is a deformation of the nasal septum, a combined rhinoseptoplasty operation is performed.
Open rhinoplasty is an incision in the column of the nose (columella) and in its cavity, followed by the separation of soft tissues from the bone. After that, stitches are applied.
Closed nasal surgery is more gentle than open surgery. All incisions and sutures are located in the nasal cavity. This type of operation is performed for minor defects.
Here in MEIS Clinic we also perform piezo rhinoplasty. This is a type of rhinoplasty where the surgeon uses ultrasound waves to correct bone and soft tissue. This allows the operation to be performed with minimal trauma and high accuracy.
